If you think about it, our world is pretty warped.

We chase after a multitude of temporary satisfactions,

We find pleasure in things we know are harmful for us,

We often look for instant love to meet our long-term needs,

We fight with the ones we love,

We value ourselves less than we're worth,

For most of our lives, we live to please others.

I've been feeling really reflective recently. What does it take for someone to be absolutely real? In a group of closest friends, to what extent can we actually be ourselves? Can we love without judging someone, can we love without conditions?

I think I shall leave the rest of my reflections for my diary. LOL.

Desperation.

Do you know what it means to be desperate for something?

I think we tend to feel desperate when we've lost something we need.
Desperation is at its peak when it's something we cannot live without, like air or water.

To a slightly lesser extent, probably, losing our calculators before a methods exam, or a dictionary before a language exam. Something I'm more familiar with - losing my wallet on public transport.

I think we need to feel desperate in order to really live.
If we live without desperation for anything, we won't know what it means to seek and what it means to be satisfied. God has made us desperate people. We're desperate to be loved, to be accepted and to be filled.

We have many needs and many wants.
At the end of the day, only our creator can cease that constant desperation within us. Only God can satisfy.

That's a truth I still struggle to live by every single day, but I pray that one day I can say with confidence that "Jesus is all I need."

Gabby Goh, it was nice having you back for a while.
It was a pleasant surprise (:

Pics from the last supper with Gabby at a cosy bar called "Black Copper".

Random supper with Gab, Adri, Zac, Ann and Jan.
Kowloon has good green tea milkshake :P

Gabby, we shall see you soon again (:

Yesterday I passed my P's test!!!!!!!! I WAS SOOOOO HAPPY I WANTED TO CRY.
Without a shadow of a doubt, it was divine intervention.

God allowed me to have a lenient tester who didn't fail me even though I did something really stupid.

In the last 3 minutes of the test, to cut things short, I basically stopped at a traffic light I wasn't suppose to stop at while turning. The minute I realised it was a mistake, my heart dropped and familiar feelings of regret and stress just poured in. It was horrible. But by the grace of God, the tester didn't make a big deal out of it even though I reckon it could have been a failing error.

If you prayed for me, THANK YOU (:

Went for a sleepover at Andrea's last night. It was a memorable one.
Had a really good chat with ADC & Mel, followed by Disney Singstar!! It had Jonas Brothers, Aly & AJ (they were really quite annoying), Demi Lovato.. and mainly camp rock and high school musical 1 & 2 songs!!! It was amazing! We ended up watching Lion King. One of my favourite Disney classics (: Scar and his creepy hyenas still scare me. LOL.

Nonetheless, the best part of the sleepover was probably the long talk with ADC.

Got woken up by Jack Johnson's BANANA PANCAKES - Andrea's alarm tone.

Believe it or not, we went jogging with Mel at 10.30am!!! How amazing is that? I don't think it's ever been accomplished in history of sleepovers. We actually ran 3km. Mel, being ever so insanely fit, ran 6km.

Anyways, since we didn't take any pics throughout the night, I decided to draw one!

People with immensely high sugar tolerance scare me sometimes.

EXAMS ARE OFFICIAL OVER (:

THIRST is coming up!

At breakfast today...

Dad: These muffins are a bit dense.

Isaac: What? Are they stupid?

Franny! Don't say I haven't shared any awesome songs with you! HAHA. Chase Coy may not have a really strong voice and his lyrics might seem a little corny sometimes, but I think they have an element of realness and deep sincerity.

Sweet dreams and sleep tight
I've been trying so hard, can't get you out of my mind
And if this is how it has to be, just promise you won't forget me
And I'll leave you with this lullaby tonight

Pictures from Uncle Tham Fuan's birthday a week ago.

Can't remember this boy's name,
but he was SO cute. And violent.

Sarah EATING!
Shock horror.

"THE LOOK" Chloe gave Isaac after he stole her tiara.

Isaac just likes making little girls cry.

The Rice Club finally got to hang out all together (: It's been such a long time since all 7 of us were able to hang out. We took the rare opportunity to take sticker photos.. ahaha :P We might be old, but we're still young at heart!

I think I kind of miss high school. I used to miss it so much when it ended, but now this feeling is getting number everyday. High school seems so distant, but it's only been 6 months. Which is not suppose to be a really long time. It's felt like forever since lunch times, waiting for each other at the locker bays, anticipating the school bell at the end of the day, doing methods together in the library, eating rice together for lunch, running around doing stuff for the school year book and the constant complaining about SACs and Bio sessions after school.

I do miss it, even though I'm enjoying the freedom of Uni life "at the mo".

Exams are about a week away and familiar feelings of stress are coming back. But I know I've much to be thankful for despite the dread of having to study. At least I've exams to study for, cause it means I've an education. At least I've a nice warm house to study in while it's pouring rain outside. At least I've got lovely parents and friends to rant to when the stress builds up too much. At least I know God will help me through it all and I'm not alone.

Anyways.. while doing an assignment for one of my subjects, I've actually learnt something about life (: Looks like there is some good in La Trobe's constant bombardment of enquiries.

I had to do research about this disorder called Neurofibromatosis. Trust me when I say this- you would rather have Swine Flu than have this disorder.

It just really made me feel guilty for ever complaining about stupid little things like my hair or a pimple.. or anything I'm not happy with about my body. It's sad that it took me something like this to make me realise how blessed I am and that many of the things that I complain about are so insignificant.
